I’m a user-oriented product manager with 9+ years working in software startups and 5+ years in “full-stack” product management: product vision and strategy, early-stage customer development and opportunity discovery, outcome-driven product development (0–1 and 1–n), and GTM enablement. Outside of work, I maintain a media tracking side project and occasionally write about product.

What I’m especially good at, relative to other experienced product professionals:

  • Testing ideas with little to no code
  • User-centered discovery and design, honed through years of customer-facing work
  • 1 → n product development within workflow-oriented, cross-functional systems of record (domain expertise: web content, office space, physical inventory)
  • Scaling product comms, helping ensure that the product team is listening, heard, and understood

What I’d like to get better at:

  • Presenting to executives, board members, and large audiences: not a natural skill, but something I enjoy and would like to get better at
  • Financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, and the financial implications of product decisions

    • 7 years in B2B SaaS (SMB → small enterprise)
    • 2 years in consumer (web + mobile)
  • 5 years in product management
    • 4 years doing “core” product/feature development for B2B SaaS
    • 1 year as growth PM, focused on top-of-funnel tech stack + internal tooling
  • ≈ 3 years in customer/client-facing roles (support, success)
  • 3 years working within climate/energy (community solar, utility data, clean-tech trade association and consultancy)
  • Experience developing products for web, mobile, Slack/Teams, and “headless” CMS
  • Considerable experience with Agile methodologies: scrum, kanban, and hybrid “scrumban” (my favorite)

Achievements

  • Arcadia
    • Developed a comprehensive strategy for Arcadia.com as both a customer-facing UI as well as an internal mar-tech toolkit; successfully pitched strategy to executive team
    • Supported site-wide overhaul of Arcadia.com to position new platform offerings within the market
  • Robin
    • Led development of Robin’s desk booking product, the company’s top revenue driver from 2020–2021; guided multiple features from discovery to launch
  • Stitch Labs
    • Led successful effort to redefine our customer focus, ICP, and product vision
    • Led customer development program resulting in company-wide shift upmarket, >4x ACV in 3 years

Goals

  • Help decarbonize the grid and help the world reach net-zero emissions within my lifetime

  • Get my writing published in a major product publication (Mind the Product, Lenny’s Newsletter, SVPG, etc.)
  • Delete my LinkedIn profile and/or watch the platform fade into irrelevance
